In 2001 The Indochina Media Memorial Foundation (IMMF) produced a basic journalism manual
entitled " Reporting and Writing News – A Basic Handbook "
by Peter Eng and Jeff Hodson. Both Peter and Jeff have long experience of
training journalists in the countries of the Lower Mekong Region. The
manual is written specifically for journalists from this region, with all
examples being taken from the local press. Its text is clear, concise and
easy to understand. Feedback from all IMMF alumni has been excellent.
The manual has since
been translated into Burmese, Khmer, Lao and Thai .
The English, Burmese, Khmer, Lao and Thai
translations have already been published and distributed appropriately to
alumni, media outlets, universities, NGOs and supporters.
In order
to promote our " Borderless Knowledge " concept, IMMF is pleased
to invite anyone interested in journalism to download our
manual in English, Khmer or Thai. The Lao and Vietnamese versions will
be added to our website soon.
